Associate of Science in Business
Murray State College designed the online Associate of Science in Business to help students gain the knowledge, problem-solving skills, and positive attitude necessary to successfully adapt and function as members of an ever-changing business community at the local, national, and global level. Students are taught how to recognize the dynamics at play and identify the impact of new concepts
and technologies in the workplace.
Coursework involves the analysis of business case studies where students apply the principles of accounting and economics for sound fiscal decision-making and management principles for excellent, effective, and efficient business practices. Additionally, students gain an awareness of the correlation between maintaining a healthy lifestyle and success in the business environment.
With an emphasis on the value of good ethical standards in business, the necessity of open-mindedness and respect varying points of view, and the interpersonal skills necessary for productivity in a team environment, students can apply what they learn right away in their current roles while also preparing for promotional opportunities and career advancement.
